On the way to our studio, we will take a scenic route through Kappabashi Kitchen Town, the world-famous district for professional chef tools. Your instructor will introduce recommended shops for high-quality Japanese knives and traditional kitchenware.

The journey culminates at the Chagohan Tokyo studio starting at 10:00 AM, where you will transform your market finds into a masterpiece. Featuring world-renowned “Yamayuki” Bluefin tuna, you will master the art of sushi from “Shari” preparation to the delicate “Kote-gaeshi” shaping technique.

Terms and Conditions & Cancellation Policy

Important Notice: Please Read Carefully

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive at the studio 10 minutes before your class begins. For classes starting at 10:00 AM, please arrive by 9:50 AM (e.g., if your class is at 3:00 PM, please arrive by 2:50 PM).
  • Dietary Restrictions: Any dietary requirements or allergies must be communicated at least one week prior to the class date. Without prior notice, we will prepare standard ingredients and will not be able to accommodate any changes on the day of the event.
  • Punctuality: If you are more than 30 minutes late for the scheduled start time, it will be treated as a "No-Show." In this case, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
  • Health & Safety: For the safety of all participants and our staff, we kindly ask you to monitor your health prior to your visit. We reserve the right to deny entry to anyone displaying symptoms of illness (e.g., fever, severe coughing). Please note that standard cancellation fees will apply in such instances.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. However, to ensure fair booking opportunities and high-quality preparation, we have established the following policy:

  1. Private Classes (Cancellation Fees)

  • 31 days or more prior to the class: No charge.
  • Within 1 month (30 days or less) prior to the class: 100% of the class fee.
    • Note: For bookings made within one month of the class date, the 100% cancellation fee applies immediately upon confirmation.
  1. Shared Classes (Cancellation Fees)

  • 14 days or more prior to the class: No charge.
  • 13 to 7 days prior to the class: 50% of the class fee.
  • 6 days or less prior to the class / No-show: 100% of the class fee.
  1. General Terms

  • Cancellation Requests: We only accept cancellations via email or phone during business hours (Mon–Sat, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM JST).
  • Weather and Transportation: Unless we officially notify you of a class cancellation or rescheduling, cancellations due to snowfall, train delays, or other personal reasons will be subject to the standard fee. Please allow ample time for travel during inclement weather.
  • Non-Transferability: To prevent unauthorized resale, reservations are non-transferable and services will only be provided to the original applicant.

Cancellations or Changes by Chagohan Tokyo

In principle, we will notify you by email or phone at least one day in advance if a class is cancelled due to natural disasters (typhoons, earthquakes, heavy snow), infrastructure failure, or unavoidable circumstances. In such cases:

  • The participation fee will be refunded in full.
  • Please note that we cannot compensate for any transportation or accommodation costs incurred by the customer.
  • If public transportation is officially suspended and the guest is unable to arrive, no cancellation fee will be charged upon our confirmation of the facts.

Refund Method

Refunds will be processed to the original credit card used for payment or the specified bank account within approximately 7 days. Please note that the exact date of receipt may vary depending on your financial institution.  

Handling of Personal Information

Your personal information (name, address, contact details) is handled securely to provide our services and occasional announcements regarding our classes. We do not share customer details with third parties. Please notify us if your contact information changes or if you wish to opt-out of our mailings.

USER POLICY

  1. Application & Requirements

  • Age Requirement: Reservations must be made by individuals aged 16 or older. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
  • Shared Classes: Unless you have booked a Private Class, please understand that you will be teamed up with other participants for portions or all of the class.
  • Target Audience: We reserve the right to restrict certain courses to specific target audiences or age groups.
  1. Attending the Classes

  • Punctuality: Please arrive at the classroom 10 minutes before the starting time (9:50 AM for morning sessions). If you are more than 30 minutes late, you will be unable to participate, and it will be treated as a No-Show with a 100% cancellation fee.
  • Facilities: CHAGOHAN TOKYO is a strictly non-smoking environment. No parking or pet facilities are available.
  • Belongings: You are responsible for your valuables. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or theft.
  • Attire & Hygiene: * Please wear the provided apron and remove it when using the restroom.
    • Long hair must be tied back. Please remove jewelry (rings, watches, bracelets) before cooking.
    • Gloves must be worn if you have long/manicured nails or hand injuries.
  • Alcohol Service: Alcohol will not be served to minors (under 20 in Japan) or those driving. We reserve the right to stop service at our discretion.
  1. Health and Safety Protocol

  • To ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff, and to maintain the continuity of our business operations, we reserve the right to refuse entry or service to any individual who displays visible symptoms of illness, such as a high fever, persistent coughing, or general poor health upon arrival.
  • In such cases, please be advised that the standard cancellation policy will apply. We kindly ask all guests to manage their health with the utmost care prior to their visit. If you feel unwell leading up to your scheduled class, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options.
  • The following hospital will be used in the event of an emergency at the store location (for staff, customers, etc.). A different hospital will be used if it is closed or if house calls are not possible.

  1. Photography & Media Policy

  • Participant Photos: Photography is permitted as long as it does not interfere with the class. Video recording of the entire lesson is prohibited.
  • Respect Privacy: When posting on SNS, please ensure other participants or staff are not identifiable without their permission.
  • Official Media: Media outlets may film or interview during classes. Our company may also use photos/videos of the class for promotional purposes (website, SNS, etc.). If you prefer not to be filmed, please inform us in advance.
  1. Food Safety & Dietary Restrictions

  • No Take-outs: Due to Health Department regulations, food prepared in class cannot be taken out under any circumstances.
  • Dietary Restrictions: Specific requests (Vegan, GF, Halal-friendly, etc.) must be communicated at least 7 days in advance. We cannot accommodate same-day changes.
  • Allergy Liability: While we take the utmost care, our kitchen handles various allergens. The ultimate responsibility for consumption rests with the participant.
  • Infectious Diseases: If you have symptoms of a contagious disease (Influenza, etc.), please cancel your attendance.
  1. Liability & Force Majeure

  • Cancellations by Us: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to force majeure (natural disasters, transportation strikes, or sudden instructor illness). In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
  • Cancellations or Changes by Chagohan Tokyo (Force Majeure): Please be advised that our studio is located within a leased facility. In rare cases beyond our control, such as unexpected building maintenance, emergency repairs, or structural inspections ordered by the property owner, we may be forced to reschedule or cancel a class at short notice. In such instances:
  • We will notify you as immediately as the situation allows.
  • You will be offered the choice of rescheduling to an alternative date or receiving a full refund of the class fee.
  • Please note that Chagohan Tokyo shall not be held liable for any secondary costs, including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, or other travel arrangements incurred by the customer.
  • Ingredient Substitutions: We may substitute ingredients without notice due to seasonal availability or supply chain issues.
  1. Prohibited Actions

  • Solicitation: Soliciting for business, religion, or other organizations is strictly prohibited.
  • Disruption: Any individual causing trouble for others or hindering the class will be asked to leave without a refund.
  • Resale: Unauthorized resale or transfer of bookings is prohibited.
  1. Handling of Recipes

  • Copyright: Recipes provided are for personal use only. Copying, distributing, or posting them on websites, blogs, or SNS without explicit permission is a violation of copyright laws.
  1. Cancellation Policy (Summary)

  • Private Classes: 100% fee if cancelled within 30 days of the class date.
  • Shared Classes: 50% fee (13-7 days prior), 100% fee (6 days or less prior).
  • Late Arrivals: 100% fee if more than 30 minutes late.
